NOVEMBER – The “Us” List

Dear Parents:

During November, each dance class will create an “Us List”. We will express to the dancers that their attitude and behavior will determine the type of dance year they will have here at our studio. Each class will create their own unique list of behaviors and boundaries that they will be working within in order to make our dance classes more accepting, supportive and inclusive and ultimately more successful.

How you can help:  We will have each classes “Us List” on display at the studio for you to see and discuss with your dancer.

We are proud of our dancer’s choices and their desire to be the best they can be and we are looking forward to a wonderful year working with them.

Don’t hesitate to contact me or one of the other instructors if you want more information about the Wingman program or have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Miss Katie & DIDC

Wingman for Dance is a program from Dylan’s Wings of Change, a foundation dedicated to the memory of Dylan Hockley, one of the first grade victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. Dylan was six years old and had autism, and could be his best when those around him would be his Wingman. You can find out more at www.wingmanleague.org. Also, find us on Facebook (Wingman For Dance) and on Instagram @wingman4dance.
